"Ladies and Gentlemen, The President of the United States of America, Barack Obama. (applause) "This is a big F***ing deal!" (MSNBC)

Vice President Joe Biden nearly stole the spotlight with his latest open-mic slip-up. After introducing the President, Mr. Biden says signing the health care bill is "a big blanking deal." The comment, intended for the President only, was picked up by microphones and broadcasted live.

Mr. Biden has a history of verbal slip ups. Fox News' Brit Hume shakes his head and says, this is just the way Mr. Biden is.

"Look, he's a lovable guy in many ways and a very nice man, but he has always had difficulty, um, putting a sock in it."

While most disapprove of the word choice, most seem to agree, health care reform is a big deal. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs tweeted his response to Mr. Biden's comment.

"And yes Mr. Vice President, you're right..."

Former Senator Tom Daschle defends Mr. Biden because this struggle for health care reform has been so long and difficult.

"You've gotta forgive those -- all of us -- who may be a little more exuberant than we would normally be. We'll say and do things in that spirit that we may not otherwise do, but I think we can all be forgiven."

USA Today is already predicting immortality in the Vice President's words.

"Believe it or not, you can already buy a T-shirt featuring Biden's now-immortal phrase...Given the landmark nature of the health care law, the comment is likely to join the open mike Hall of Fame."

So what do you think? Have we just come to accept this from Mr. Biden? Or does he need to put a sock in it?
